The End of Happiness – Is It Really The End Of Happiness?

The End of Happiness

The End of Happiness was a tumultuous series, but the conclusion is well received by fans. The show opens with Sae-Bom watching videos of Yi-Hyun while hooked up to machines and having her blood drawn. Meanwhile, Seo-Yoon visits her mum, who is infected, and tries to pass it off as a simple cold. Seo-Yoon is being prepped for surgery and asks Sae-Bom to watch after her while she recovers. While she is in the hospital, Eun-Ji turns her back on her and leaves the hospital, and Yi Hyun is left with no choice but to stay with her.

While it may seem counterintuitive, the end of happiness is not the end of happiness. Despite the book’s title, it’s possible to relate everyday experiences to this theory. You’ve probably been on a long, delayed plane trip, and experienced bad weather, or both. No matter the cause, you likely experienced bad memories during that trip. This theory is backed by numerous experiments, including Kahneman’s famous “freezing water” experiment.

Aristotle describes happiness as the perfection of human nature and the fulfillment of virtue. But achieving happiness requires hard choices. The lesser good offers instant pleasure, while the greater good requires sacrifice. Good character requires strong willpower. If you are unable to make such decisions, you’ll never be happy. However, Aristotle’s ideas are similar to Mencius’s. However, Aristotle’s definition of happiness is more individualistic.
