The End of Happiness is a book that explains why we’re not happy any more. In it, Kahneman shows how we forget memories, including our own. We think that happiness only exists in an ideal world, free from all the constraints of the real world. However, the real world is far more complicated than that. The real end of happiness is never a sure thing. In the end, we’ll never know.
The story begins with a hospital visit, and our protagonists are suffering from a mysterious disease. It’s a very realistic situation, with two detectives, Yi Hyun and Sae Beom, tasked with solving the case. In the first episode, we see the detective Yi Hyun and police officer Sae Beom visiting Yi-Hyun’s mother in the hospital. Seo-Yoon’s mum is infected, but she plays off the disease as a simple cold. The two characters must hide in the building, but at the same time, she’s undergoing surgery. In this way, a wound occurs on Park-Hyung’s head, putting his life in danger.
The story of Happiness begins with two police officers, Yi Hyun and Sae Beom, who are preparing for surgery. When the new building is exposed to a mysterious disease, the people in the building must stay hidden in order to survive. At the end of the episode, Park-Hyung’s wound causes him to question his own life and his own. He asks Sae-Bom to take care of her for a while she recovers from the surgery.
