The End of Happiness – How Do I Know I Am Loved?
Comparisons are the ending of happiness. When you are sad, there is nothing more beautiful or satisfying than seeing the picture of a happy life ahead of you in your mind. A happy flower does not think of competing with the other beautiful flower next to it; it simply blooms. There lies the ultimate beauty within that which you call “the end of happiness.”
In some situations flowers and lilies have been associated with happiness, but the truth of the matter is that they are merely beautiful. They do not give life; they are for display. True happiness is knowing that you are loved and appreciated.
The end of happiness is watching small children at play. You may not like what you see, but what you do see is beautiful. You can look past the flowers and the teddy bear and realize the importance of loving one will appreciate you if you remember that you are not alone and that no matter where you go, there are people who love you and want you to be happy. to look beyond the flowers and petals, and beyond life, to the infinite source of all there is.
